Summer, Summer, Summertime trends.

After doing some looking around online for a little bit of research, i decided to look up what are some of the trends for this summer. Now I’m very much aware that we are well into the summertime, Memorial Day came and went, as did July 4th. But here is what I’ve found so far in my little quest for some full figured fashion…

1. BRIGHT COLORS. Surprise, surprise, a great look for the summer is wearing lots of bold and bright colors! Whether its accessorizing with a big yellow necklace, or wearing some bright blue skinny jeans don’t let the occasional rainy day spoil your fun in the sun!

2. FUN FLIRTY DRESSES. You can never go wrong with a fun and flirty dress! Kick up your heels in a knee grazing airy print dress, or you could do a solid floor length maxi dress!* Roman and Greek inspired silhouettes are back in this Summer, choose one with delicate folds and cut-outs, and intricate drapery. Pair them with a cute gladiator sandal and you’ve got a look that can take you miles.

*NOTE: My only worry about the maxi dress for us buxom broads is to be careful when picking one out. Make sure you try it on in the store, because you may end up getting one that may look like a mumu or pregnant, which I know I certainly don’t appreciate or want.

3. Ethnic Prints. This goes along with the Safari trend that has been seen lately. Tribal designs are all over flowy fabrics on dresses, skirts and shirts. Pair these fun pieces with a chunky necklace and maybe some wooden earrings or a bangle. Throw on some chunky heels and you’re ready for a night out at a party or a club!

4. Girl Meets Boy. This unisex look can become quite feminine and sexy. Take a simple black pencil skirt, a crisp white button down and a pair of high heeled wing tips. Coordinate this look with a long string of pearls around your neck and a few around your wrist. For a more casual look take your favorite pair of shorts, Bermuda or something shorter perhaps, a cute screen tee and a menswear inspired vest and maybe even one of those straw fedoras and you’ve got yourself a super cute outfit perfect for a Saturday afternoon filled with shopping.

Of course none of these are absolute rules that MUST be followed, put your own flair on each one of these and you’ll be cute, fun, fabulous and of course super stylish all summer long!

Eat your heart out.

Hello WordPress.

July 7, 2008 · 2 Comments

So this is my first blog for all you WordPress-ers out there. lol. I guess I’ll start off what I hope to be a successful blog, with a little about myself. I’m 20 years old and a full time Art student. One day I’ll be declared a certified Art Teacher but until then I’m just trying to have fun and do as many different things as possible. I’ve got so many things going on in my head sometimes that I need to put them out into the world, and I suppose here is where I’m gonna put them.

I would like to write about all things that I love… all things that interest me art. fashion. cool random things. and definitely a few tips and tid bits for my fellow buxom beauties out there in cyberspace. So stay tuned cause there’s definitely gonna be plenty to read and enjoy.
